The automatic, certified movement manufactured by Chopard in own workshops is a special masterpiece in the company history: On the occasion of the 150th anniversary the path to future innovations was laid in 2010 by the mechanic movement with automatic winding and at the same time, the heritage of the company was honored. The year 1937 is crucial for the Swiss label: Paul Louis Chopard, son of the founder, moved the headquarters from Jura to Geneva where the manufactory is still located.
Unique also from the outside
It is worth paying due attention to the face of the extraordinary timekeepers. The white-silver dial of the LUC 1937 has a shimmering mother-of-pearl look. Every sunbeam creates new optical effects. The pure design of the dial is complemented by Roman numerals that are framed by the narrow border of the minute counter. Depending on the model, also the indices change their color and constantly give the LUC 1937 a new look. The chronometer logo "L.U. Chopard" at 12 o'clock and the date display at 6.00 o'clock have an unobtrusive design. Their harmonious arrangement on the dial provides for visual silence and balance to the Roman numerals.
