The dial of its successor, the modern Skin Diver, brings this philosophy to perfection: Harmoniously and clearly designed, it dispenses with all complications and instead convinces with excellent readability. While the patina colouring of the hands and indices is a successful reminiscence of the original model from 1959, the simple "Automatic" lettering refers to the Skin Diver's superior drive.
The calibre L888, known for its high robustness and long-term reliability, was implemented. Like the automatic movement 688 of the elegant Heritage 1942 Series, it provides an abundant power reserve and, thanks to its robust stainless-steel case, offers excellent protection against external influences.
