Hamilton American Classic: American flair with a Swiss heart

The Hamilton American Classic Collection delivers what it promises. Each individual watch model in this edition reflects its original American soul, inspiring with a timeless, classic design and the precision of Swiss watchmaking. The label has been firmly anchored in American history for more than 120 years and has made a name for itself worldwide with unique developments in watchmaking.

Luxury watches that have made history

With the foundation of the Hamilton Watch Company in 1892 in Lancaster, USA, the starting signal was given for a Hollywood success story. From the very beginning, the watch manufacturer was particularly well received, as its technological innovations were a gain for the American economy and the military. First, the pocket watch "Watch of Railroad Accurarcy" provided more security in the railway system from 1912 onwards. Only two years later, the armed forces of the US Army received Hamilton watches as reliable companions. In the 1930s, the company became an official partner of United Airlines, and in the 1940s the watch manufacturer supplied nautical precision chronometers that provided invaluable service to the Navy. After the end of the Second World War, the traditional company devoted itself to the new glamorous times and launched revolutionary watch models that even conquered the film mecca Hollywood. In 1951, a watch from the label appeared on the cinema screen for the first time in "The Frogman". When the groundbreaking invention of the world's first electronic wristwatch succeeded, it was presented by none other than rock and roll legend Elvis Presley in his film "Blue Hawaii". The world's first quartz watch with a digital LED display followed in 1970. Unsurprisingly, the Swiss holding company became aware of the company. In 1974 the in-label was taken over by the Swatch Group. Thus, Hamilton watches, including the renowned American Classic Collection, are "SWISS MADE" with American roots:

American Classic stands for unique watch making

With the American Classic collection, the label goes “back to the roots”. The extraordinary models reflect the unrivalled quality and the typical American style of that time. Coupled with the innovative Swiss movements, the watches in the Hamilton American Classic edition are technical pieces of art whose beauty and elegance are free of all time constraints. Even romantic nostalgics will get their money's worth with the luxury models of the American Classic Line. The American Classic Lady Vintage Quartz is a true retro beauty and the Pan Europ Day Date is a tribute to the legendary chronograph that was presented to the world for the first time. Find it hard to choose a model from the seductive American Classic edition? Then simply treat yourself to an additional model - our top offers make it possible!
