At the renowned Watches and Wonders 2025 watch fair in Geneva, Rolex and Patek Philippe unveiled their latest masterpieces – a tribute to craftsmanship, innovation, and timeless design. For collectors and enthusiasts, these novelties were without question the highlights of the show.
Rolex: A New Sports Watch and Fresh Pops of Color
The biggest surprise from Rolex was the all-new Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller – the brand's first new sports model in more than a decade. With its angular case and flat, integrated Jubilee bracelet, the watch recalls the vintage Oysterquartz and brings a breath of fresh air to the lineup. Equipped with the new high-frequency caliber 7135 and the innovative Dynapulse escapement, it promises the highest precision and robustness.
The Land-Dweller comes in platinum, Everose gold, and "White Rolesor" (a combination of stainless steel and white gold) – each in 36 mm and 40 mm.

Another highlight is the new version of the GMT-Master II with a tiger iron dial – a first for Rolex. The 18-karat Everose gold case is paired with a brown and black Cerachrom bezel. Despite the fresh look, the GMT-Master II retains its core function: displaying multiple time zones at once.

The new dials of the Oyster Perpetual also bring plenty of color: soft lavender, sandy beige, and fresh pistachio green embrace modern pastel accents with a matte finish – a harmonious blend of classic and contemporary.

Patek Philippe: Refined Elegance with New Lines
Patek Philippe impressed with the new Calatrava Reference 6196P-001 – an elegant 38 mm platinum watch with an opaline rose-gold-toned dial (salmon dial), applied white gold hour markers, and small seconds. Powered by the hand-wound caliber 30-255 PS with a 65-hour power reserve, this watch is a prime example of understatement and elegance. A chocolate-brown alligator strap completes the picture.

For women, the brand presented two new models in the Nautilus collection: references 7010G and 7010/1G with a new azure-blue lacquered dial. The sporty yet elegant design with its rectangular case and diamond-set bezel remains unchanged – but the new color brings a fresh, modern look.

Another milestone was the expansion of the Cubitus collection – Patek Philippe's first new line in 25 years. With its sporty-chic look, integrated bracelet, and angular case, it offers an alternative to the famous Nautilus. Following its 2024 launch, it has now been extended with models in white gold and rose gold.
Conclusion
With their novelties at Watches and Wonders 2025, Rolex and Patek Philippe impressively demonstrate how tradition and innovation can be harmoniously combined. Whether bold and sporty or refined and elegant – both brands once again set the standard in the world of haute horlogerie.
