First, the Swiss railway ennobled him by exclusively giving his pocket watches to the conductors. But life was not very good to Chopard, which is why the label went bankrupt and would almost completely have disappeared if a jeweller from Pforzheim had not stepped in. Karl Scheufele had already spent some time thinking about buying the tradition-rich company and promised the heirs to continue it in the spirit of Louis Ulysse Chopard. In his honour, the Scheufele family named the first calibre manufactured under their leadership L.U.C. Their goal was and is to manufacture modern and sporty, classic and timelessly elegant works of art, which they have undoubtedly achieved with the L.U.C Quattro.
Classic and unmistakable
Black crocodile leather, white and rose gold as well as diamonds – these are the visible materials of the L.U.C Quattro collection by Chopard. On the inside of the men's watch with the elegant dimensions of 43 millimetres diameter and a height of 8.87 millimetres, there are also 39 jewels. But what makes the Quattro so incredible is the L.U.C 1.98 calibre with manual winding. It has the enormous power reserve of 216 hours, which is more than 9 days in which you do not have to wind the watch. So that you always have an overview, Chopard has placed the power reserve indicator at the 6 o'clock position and also housed the small seconds there. At the 12 o'clock position, however, there is the date display. Therefore, the L.U.C Quattro by Chopard can always be read easily and, thanks to its classic and timeless look, it is suitable for any occasion.
