When Bell & Ross was founded, the idea was to develop watches which operate perfectly under professional conditions. The enterprise had the aim to combine the tradition of Swiss watchmaking art with considering the demands under extreme circumstances. A team consisting of designers and experts for aircraft instruments is necessary for developing these timepieces which can be used by minesweepers, divers, pilots and astronauts.
In 1992 the company Bell & Ross was founded by the industrial designer Bruno Belamich and his friend the business manager Carlos Rosillo. In the beginning, the designs were produced by the Frankfurt watchmaking enterprise Sinn where Bruno Belamich worked as an intern. Since 2002, Bell & Ross, which has its headquarter in Paris, produces its luxury timepieces in the Swiss city of La Chaux-de-Fonds. By now the company is well-established in the highly competitive market of luxury watches and is represented by 500 points of sale in 50 countries.
