When Hans Wilsdorf officially launched his label in 1905 he had the aim to make his watches famous worldwide. Of course he succeeded – after all, Rolex overspread from the English-speaking regions to the entire world and temporarily was presumed to be an US-American brand. However, the luxurious watches, which are exclusively positioned in the higher price segment, are manufactured in Switzerland.

Wilsdorf was not settled for manufacturing luxury timepieces – he wanted to produce watches which were able to break records. For example, he gave the first waterproof watch ever –the Oyster – to swimmer Mercedes Gleitze, who wore it while crossing the English Channel. Another Rolex was part of an excursion to climb on top of the Himalaya and the Rolex Submariner reminds on the only wristwatch ever to be in the Mariana Trench, the deepest part of the world’s oceans. Consequently, the label for luxury timepieces quickly became famous and sought-after.

Submariner: for men with good taste

The Submariner collection offers a beautiful selection of various designs – the dials are held in vibrant colours like black, blue and green. The same applies to the bezels: Matching with the dials these are usually colored, too. The wristbands are made of high-quality materials like stainless steel, gold and white gold. Partly, they are also available in bi-color. It is without saying that all models of the Rolex Submariner collection are waterproof up to 300 meters and equipped with scratch-proof sapphire glass. On top of this, models of the Submariner Date even have a date display. Thus, those watches really meet everybody's taste.
