Blancpain Villeret Chronographe Monopoussoir
(2 items)With the Villeret Chronographe Monopoussoir, Blancpain creates a rare symbiosis of aesthetic beauty and practical functionality.
Where the romance of a moon phase meets the versatility of an annual calendar and the stylish discretion of a single-button chronograph, the haute horlogerie from Le Brassus shows its creative side. Unite perfection, innovation and traditional manufacture craftsmanship on your wrist.
Slim case with hidden correctors
At a pleasant 40.3 millimeters, the Chronographe Monopoussoir guarantees a high level of wearing comfort even on slender wrists and is available in two versions: while stainless steel with a white dial stands for a focused character, the opaline dial of the 18-karat red gold variant expresses the artistic and warm side of the Villeret. Entirely in the style of the Villeret Quantième Complet collection, the correctors for the calendar functions are positioned beneath the lugs and thereby ensure a pure, elegant appearance of the Chronographe Monopoussoir.
The intelligent construction of the chronograph function also contributes to this goal. A single push on the crown is enough to operate all functions of the timekeeper and to read off measured intervals via the 30-minute and 12-hour counters at the center of the dial. The latter impresses with a symmetrical layout featuring Roman numerals, skeletonized hands and the brand's typical hand-type date. In contrast, the Chronographe Flyback Pulsomètre features a classic date window and relies on the more widespread two-button construction.
Horological future since 1735
Through the sapphire crystal case back of the Chronographe Monopoussoir, you look upon the impressive drive of the Swiss precision instrument: the automatic manufacture movement 66CM8. Consisting of 450 individual parts, it features finishing of the highest league and provides 40 hours of power reserve at 21,600 vibrations per hour. Added to this is a modern, damage-proof construction of the calendar and moon phase modules, which lends the Chronographe Monopoussoir a high level of robustness and expresses the forward-looking spirit of the Swiss manufacture. Founded in 1735 by Jehan-Jacques Blancpain, it is today the oldest watch brand in the world and combines traditional savoir-faire with pioneering advances in horology. In the last 13 years alone, the manufacturer from the Vallée de Joux presented over 37 new manufacture movements, among which the unique Blancpain Villeret watches with carrousel play a special role.
