After a little more than 100 years of a very changeable company history, the founder's grandson, then 80 years old, sold the company to the Pforzheim jeweller and watchmaker Karl Scheufele. The new owner promised to lead the company in the spirit of highest quality and, among other things, created the L.U.C Collection, whose letters represent the initials of the company founder Louis-Ulysse Chopard. With his passion, his love for finest details and high-class materials, with a lot of creativity as well as the latest technology and first-class craftsmen, Karl Scheufele succeeded in making the company one of the leading houses in the world of jewellery and watches.
