Modern watchmaking impressively presented
Like the transparent Maurice Lacroix watches of the Aikon Automatic Skeleton collection, the Master Grand Date reveals its mechanics through the dial. Not only the large opening at eight o'clock, but also the small seconds bring the in-house movement ML331 to light. Its 50 hours of power reserve meet an extensive decoration: in addition to the sunburst-finished balance bridge made of rhodium, the skeletonized rotor catches the eye, featuring a brushed and azured surface and appearing through the sapphire crystal back of the Master.
The layout and the detailed design of the dial are also remarkable. Characterized by a blue, grained surface, it features an off-center hours and minutes display with a square embossing at two o'clock. Beside it, the Grand Date presents its namesake large date, whose elaborate border, like the luminous-coated hour markers, is made of rhodium. The result is a spectacular overall picture that sets the Master miles apart from the crowd and expresses the top technical class of the house of Maurice Lacroix.
