The founder of the company was Peter Brunner who bought an assembly factory for watches in the Swiss Saignelégier for the company Desco von Schulthess AG. The name Maurice Lacroix was only determined with the launch of the first watch. It is the name of a popular board member who sadly died shortly before the decision to launch the company's own luxury watch was made. Today, the timepieces by the Swiss manufacturer are known around the world not only for their transparent case bottom.
