In the Saxon town of Glashütte, the town of watches and precision mechanics, Robert Mühle founded his manufacture in 1869. The young entrepreneur quickly made a name for himself with precision measuring instruments for the local watch industry, but his speedometers and tachometers also found favor with Horch, Maybach and DKW. Despite an eventful company history, the family held fast to its passion for precise timekeeping and luxury watches. After German reunification, the company dared a fresh start once again in 1994 and has since traded under the name Mühle Glashütte GmbH nautische Instrumente und Feinmechanik. Today the manufacture ranks among the most renowned watch brands in Germany. Under the leadership of Thilo Mühle, the brand, now in its fifth generation, applies its accumulated expertise to the manufacture of luxury watches with functional aesthetics.
