This connection endured despite the difficulties caused by the political turmoil following the Second World War and the subsequent division of the country. Closure, dismantling, reconstruction under the name Mühle Glashütte, renewed expropriation by the regime – yet the family did not give up. They always remained focused on the production of first-class instruments, which also include marine chronometers so sophisticated that they can independently control up to 150 other clocks. Today the company is once again privately owned and produces, among other things, collections such as the Nautik Seebataillon, dedicated to the German Navy and its future battalions.
