The version with a white dial bears reference 226570-0001 and, according to rolex.com (archived 28.09.2026), is listed in the current catalogue. Its Oyster case in Oystersteel measures 42 mm, and the fixed bezel features a 24-hour graduation. The watch is powered by the in-house calibre 3285 with a power reserve of approx. 70 hours. It is worn on an Oyster bracelet.
History and distinction
“Polar” is a nickname from the collector scene, not an official Rolex name. According to the specialist press, a white dial was already available as an option on reference 16550 from 1985. White versions were also offered on the 16570 (1989 to 2011) and the 216570 (2011 to 2021). Since 2021, it has been available on the 226570. The white dial alone is decisive for the name.
