“Batman” is a nickname from the collector scene, not an official Rolex name. It refers to the GMT-Master II with a blue-black bezel insert (BLNR) on the Oyster bracelet. Reference 126710BLNR-0003 has a 40 mm Oyster case in Oystersteel, a black dial and a bidirectional rotatable 24-hour bezel with a two-colour Cerachrom insert. Inside beats the manufacture calibre 3285 with a power reserve of approx. 70 hours. The Oyster bracelet consists of solid three-piece links.
From 116710BLNR to 126710BLNR
The predecessor reference 116710BLNR in Oystersteel was introduced in 2013, produced until 2019 and available exclusively on the Oyster bracelet. In 2019 it was followed by the 126710BLNR, visually almost unchanged but with calibre 3285 and the Chronergy escapement, initially on the Jubilee bracelet. Since 2021 it has also been available on the Oyster bracelet. According to rolex.com (archive as of 28.09.2026), the 126710BLNR is currently in the catalogue. The version on the Jubilee bracelet (126710BLNR-0002) is grouped in its own category “Batgirl”, even though some dealers refer to both bracelet versions as “Batman”.
