Two modes for unlimited possibilities

Intuitively operated via its electronic crown, two pushers and the central touchscreen, the Connect Solar lets you choose between two modes: the Connected mode allows connection to iOS and Android devices and brings incoming messages as well as calls to your wrist, while the Offline mode guarantees independent operation of the Tissot. Most of its many functions are retained in the process: as in the sister model Tissot T-Touch Expert or the T-Touch II, it includes, alongside various alarms and timers, a perpetual calendar, altimeter and compass. Added to this are a temperature display, a barometer and an activity tracker that records distances covered, steps and calories burned.

Sunlight is responsible for powering the Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar, which is why the battery life is practically unlimited in Offline mode and lasts up to six months in Connected mode. The modern electronics of the Connect Solar need not fear external influences thanks to 100 meters of water resistance, a scratch-resistant ceramic bezel and robust titanium. The latter is available in three versions, including, alongside a classic one, a PVD-coated and gold-plated variant. Entirely in the style of the more compact T-Race Touch collection, attachment to the wrist is achieved by means of ergonomic yet robust rubber straps.

An innovative concept with 35 patents

During the development process of the Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar, more than 35 patents were filed, concerning, among other things, the ingenious operating concept of this high-tech model: once unlocked, the touchscreen, by briefly selecting the outer menus (such as "Timing" or "Activity"), provides lightning-fast access to the Connect Solar's range of functions. At the same time, the energy-saving Memory-In-Pixel display ensures smooth legibility even in sunlight, while the "Sw-ALPS" operating system developed specifically in Switzerland guarantees improvements as well as expansions of the software through regular updates – for example the additional connectivity with the Huawei operating system "Harmony OS" from the end of December 2020.
