U-Boat Classico Sommerso Bronze with the reference 8486 - made in Italy.
Ilvo Fontana, a skilled craftsman of precision instruments, received a prestigious commission from the Italian Navy. He was to design a new watch for their pilots. This challenge had to meet the Navy's high quality standards and very precise technical specifications, but above all it had to guarantee maximum visibility and reliability under any lighting or weather conditions. However, unfortunate circumstances at the time did not allow this. In 2000, Italo Fontana, Ilvo's grandson, discovered the precious designs that became his inspiration for the first U-Boat watch.
