The Superocean was created in the 1950s and was intended for professional and military divers, especially in special forces. The one-piece case and tempered glass of this first Superocean enabled diving operations to depths of 200 meters. In the following years, the first recreational divers opted for the Superocean. Each Superocean generation has impressed with its top-notch technical qualities, and these features have largely contributed to its reputation as a reliable diver's watch. Today's Superocean is no exception. Its robust steel case, water-resistant to 1500 meters, features a screw-down crown as well as a thick sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. In addition, a safety valve balances the different pressure conditions outside and inside the case. The exceptional performance goes hand in hand with the equally unique aesthetics: unidirectional rotating safety bezel with cast rubber, colored minute divisions, dynamically styled numerals - all these elements underline the strong personality of the Superocean.
