Through a sapphire crystal caseback, the Super Chronomat 44 showcases its spectacular, 100-percent in-house mechanics: While the collection's pure Breitling chronographs are fueled by the prominent B01 caliber with a 70-hour power reserve, a modified version called the B19 powers the models with a four-year calendar. The latter only needs to be adjusted once every leap year (every 1461 days) and gives the Super Chronomat 44 a symmetrical look in the dial with four totalizers. The subdials manage to clearly accommodate a date, day of the week and month display in addition to all chronograph functions and touch the soul of the viewer with a beautiful, true-to-life moon phase at three o'clock.
