Also made of stainless steel is the Oyster strap. The Milgauss is equipped with the caliber 3131 and is a chronometer. In addition, there is the central second hand and a screw-down crown.

The main innovation of the Milgauss is the magnetic shielding in the Oyster case, which offers impressive resistance to magnetic interference. It is made of ferromagnetic alloys specially selected by Rolex and surrounds and protects the timepiece. Only Rolex dealers can see this shield, engraved with the symbol of magnetic induction: the letter B and an arrow.

The Milgauss is equipped with Caliber 3131, a self-winding mechanical movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. It is equipped with advanced technologies patented by the brand, which ensure exceptional resistance to magnetic fields. Like all Rolex Perpetual watches, the caliber 3131 is a certified Swiss chronometer. Only precision watches that have passed the tests of the independent Swiss institute Contrôle officiel suisse des chronomètres (COSC) are allowed to carry this designation.
