Rolex Sky-Dweller
- Model no.: 326934
- Item no.: PLX501214
This Rolex Sky-Dweller has the reference number 326934 and shines with a bright blue dial. The case has a diameter of 42mm and is made of stainless steel and white gold. Also made of stainless steel and white gold is the Oyster strap. The Sky-Dweller is equipped with the caliber 9001 and is a chronometer. It also features center seconds and a screw-down crown, a date display, an annual calendar and a second time zone.
Gold is valued for its brilliance and value. Stainless steel is a symbol of strength and reliability. These two best qualities go hand in hand. Rolesor is a distinguishing feature of Rolex models, used since the early 1930s and registered as a trademark in 1933. Today, it is a cornerstone of the Oyster collection.
Two time zones are displayed simultaneously. Local time is represented by a central traditional hour, minute and seconds display. An independent synchronization mechanism allows time to be rewound and fast-forwarded quickly and easily. This is done independently of the minute and second hands and does not change the base time. Accuracy is not affected as the watch does not need to be stopped. The reference time (the local time of the traveler's place of residence or work) is displayed on an off-center rotating numeric disc. The 24-hour display with the red triangle clearly distinguishes between daytime and nighttime at the place of departure (e.g. 10:00 and 22:00). The date changes depending on the local time and is displayed in milliseconds at midnight.
The Sky-Dweller is equipped with a self-winding mechanical movement developed and manufactured exclusively by Rolex and launched in 2012: the 9001 caliber, one of the most advanced movements Rolex has ever produced. The watch and the bezel, which is used to set the Sky-Dweller function, are closely linked by a dial on the outer edge of the watch. Like all Rolex movements with annual calendars, the 9001 caliber is a certified Swiss chronometer. Only watches that have been tested by the COSC (Contrôle officiel suisse des chronomètres), an independent Swiss institution, receive this seal. The construction of the movement is unique among all Oyster movements and guarantees unparalleled reliability.
