Long-time partners Tag Heuer and Mercedes-Benz McLaren once again share their passion for design, prestige and performance with this chronograph for lovers of exceptional watches and sports cars. In conjunction with the SLR, one of the most exclusive sports cars in the world, the development of this chronograph required the use of the most advanced technology. This new timepiece with pushers at a 45° angle (inspired by the SLR's gear shift) guarantees a unique ergonomic operation of the chronograph function even while driving. The bi-directional rotating ring is controlled by a second crown at 9 o'clock, allowing the pilot to measure the elapsed or remaining time of the race. The black brushed stainless steel fixed bezel features an engraved tachymeter scale for determining speeds. The SLR Calibre 17 chronograph features refined finishes that would be worthy of a sports car. It also features a large date window, a vertically textured dial, circular azuré counters, and a distinctive stainless steel or rubber strap with apertures reminiscent of the SLR's side air vents.
