1848 – that is the year of foundation of the present luxury label Omega. In the procedure usual at this time the company founder Louis Brandt named his business after himself but his sons changed the name. The label that is now famous worldwide got its name in 1894 when his sons developed a new pocket watch caliber that received lots of prizes and awards so that the benchmark became nearly unachievable. Although Omega no longer manufactured pocket watches it offers a wide range of elegant, sportive, luxurious and noble wristwatches that inspire women and men at the same time. In addition to the Seamaster the Constellation is probably one of the most popular series that, on the other hand, can be split up into different collections meeting all demands. All watches from the Chronometer series are furnished with sapphire glass whereas an automatic caliber is integrated. The wristbands of the Chronometer collection are made of different types of gold or leather; the cases include both gold and steel.
