In the procedure usual at this time the company founder Louis Brandt named his business after himself but his sons changed the name. The label that is now famous worldwide got its name in 1894 when his sons developed a new pocket watch caliber that received lots of prizes and awards so that the benchmark became nearly unachievable. The wristbands of the Chronometer collection are made of different types of gold or leather; the cases include both gold and steel. In addition to time also the date is displayed on the elegant dials in different colors, namely at the 6 or 3-hour position.
