It was only founded in 1961 and it took almost 15 years until the launch of the first, own watch. The founder of the company was Peter Brunner who bought an assembly factory for watches from the Schulthess AG in the Swiss Saignelégier for the company Descox. The name Maurice Lacroix was only determined with the launch of the first watch. It is the name of a popular board member who died shortly before the launch of the first watch. Today, the timepieces by the Swiss manufacturer are not only known for their transparent case bottom.
